Proceed has provided consistently excellent support throughout the technical implementation and development of SAP R3 within MAN B&W Diesel UK Ltd. The key areas of activity are Product Lifecycle Management including Data Migration from our legacy systems.

The use of PLM was initiated within the area of our Manufacturing business processes. This has incorporated the use of documents, spreadsheets and graphical elements which are vaulted and accessed directly within SAP. This provides the Manufacturing area of the business with the critical supporting information needed to manufacture our products.

The Data Migration covered 4 UK sites, and encompassed the technical consultancy and support required to successfully manage the process. Working effectively with site based internal teams, data has been migrated from 4 diverse legacy systems and processed to facilitate propagation into the SAP system.

Proceed's involvement in the data migration activities has been total, from the definition of data maps to the loading of data into the productive systems. In some cases, this has required a drive, commitment and flexibility beyond reasonable expectations at short notice.

All the UK sites have gone live with SAP to an agreed timescale and it is without doubt that the site implementations would not have occurred in the time scales achieved without the help and support of the employees of Proceed.
